YEREVAN, November 13. /ARКА/. In addition to a peace agreement, Armenia and Azerbaijan will need to conclude a strategic agreement on the basic principles that they will have to follow in order to live side by side for the next centuries, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.nbsp;/pp “I think this is the most important and fundamental issue,” Pashinyan said in parliament. At the same time, he noted that he has an idea of what this strategic agreement should contain, and it is based on the concept of “real Armenia.”nbsp;/pp
In a related development, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan told parliament that Yerevan and Baku are very close to finalizing the text of the peace treaty.nbsp;/pp “There are one or two formulations, articles, around which the negotiations will continue more intensively. The work is underway and, I would even say, in a more constructive atmosphere. I would like to express cautious optimism that we are indeed very close to finalizing the text of the peace treaty,” Mirzoyan said. -0-/p
