In an old interview, this actress opened up about her husband's infidelity. The actress found out about it in the first year of their marriage. While talking to Simi Garewal, the veteran diva revealed that she realised it within the first year of their marriage that it was a mistake. But as she had decided to marry him against everyone's wish, she decided to make it work. "I'm not necessarily saying that it was the best thing for him either. It was a difficult time since the first year because I was pregnant with my first child and Mazhar was not there. There was a big article in Stardust magazine at that time about the woman that Mazhar was seeing. It's reality," revealed the actress.
The actress is Zeenat Aman. Further, the Yaadon Ki Baarat actress revealed that when their son was born, she wanted to leave Mazhar and even discussed the same with her late husband. However, at that time, the actress thought her child deserved a chance and hence, she decided to stay. The actress did everything she could to make the marriage work. She even thought of getting back to work when her son turned 5; however, that's when Mazhar fell extremely ill. "I spent 5 years battling for his health and his life and they were very difficult years," she revealed.
