ArmInfo. As part of the #Maximum100dram initiative, 3,871 signatures were collected against  the increase in transport tariffs on November 6, and in two days the total number of signatures reached 6,895. Former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan wrote about this on his Facebook page, reporting on November  6 on the work done as part of the campaign to prevent a threefold increase in transport prices in Yerevan by the decision of the capital's mayor's office from January 1, 2025.

"And we haven't even left the city center yet. On November 7, we will  continue collecting signatures in the center. Join us to avoid an  increase in costs and maintain the ability to pay only 100 drams,"  Marutyan added. In a conversation with an ArmInfo correspondent, he  stated that they intend to collect as many signatures as possible,  since this problem affects more than 650 thousand citizens of  Armenia, adding that they plan to collect at least that many votes.

"We will do everything possible to prevent the fare increase. Just as  100 drams did not become 150 drams under Taron Margaryan, 100 drams  will not become 300 drams under Tigran Avinyan," Marutyan summed up.

A unified ticket system for public transport will be introduced in  Yerevan by the end of this year. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan  announced this at a working meeting in the capital's municipality on  May 6.
