Triumph Unveils Updated Tiger 1200 Range in India

0

Triumph Motorcycles has announced the launch of the updated Tiger 1200 range in India, enhancing its adventure motorcycle lineup. The new Tiger 1200 models feature a refined T-Plane triple engine, improved ergonomics, and a range of customization options to suit varied riding styles, both on and off-road. Available starting at ₹19,38,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Tiger 1200 lineup introduces key updates to meet the demands of adventure motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

Key Technical Upgrades and Performance Enhancements

The 1160 cc T-Plane triple engine, known for its unique firing order, now offers enhanced low-speed control and refinement due to increased crank inertia and updated engine balancing. These changes deliver smoother acceleration, making low-rev riding and maneuvering more precise and predictable. Additionally, the engine’s new clutch design provides a more fluid engagement, especially in lower gears, making it easier for riders in stop-and-go situations.

For increased versatility, Triumph has introduced the “Active Preload Reduction” feature, which reduces rear suspension preload at lower speeds, lowering the seat height by up to 20mm and providing riders with easier foot reach. This feature, along with an accessory low seat option, makes the bike more accessible and comfortable for a wider range of riders. The GT Pro and Rally Pro variants now also come with dampened handlebars and risers, a feature previously exclusive to the Explorer models, for a more comfortable grip and better mirror stability.

Enhanced Rider Comfort and Technology Features

The Tiger 1200 lineup is equipped with Showa semi-active suspension, which adjusts automatically to varying road and off-road conditions, ensuring a balanced ride experience across all terrains. The models offer six riding modes, including Sport, Rain, Road, and Off-Road, allowing riders to adapt their settings according to their needs. Cornering ground clearance has been increased in the GT models, further improving stability during turns.

On the technology front, the Tiger 1200 range includes a 7-inch TFT display with the My Triumph Connectivity System, allowing riders to access navigation, phone, and music controls seamlessly. Higher-end variants, such as the GT Explorer and Rally Explorer, come equipped with Triumph’s Blind Spot Radar system, developed in partnership with Continental, enhancing rider safety.

Available Variants and Color Options

Triumph offers the Tiger 1200 in four main variants: the road-focused GT Pro and GT Explorer, featuring 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast aluminum wheels, and the off-road-ready Rally Pro and Rally Explorer, with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoked wheel setup. Both Explorer models are equipped with a 30-liter fuel tank for extended rides, while the Pro models come with a 20-liter tank. New color options include Carnival Red for the GT models and Matt Sandstorm for the Rally models, in addition to existing colors like Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black.
