Days of Armenian Culture to take place in Turkmenistan

The program of cultural days will be quite rich and diverse. In particular, screenings of feature films, exhibitions, concerts are expected, which will allow the Turkmen people to get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage.
According to the source, on October 27 at 17:00, the melodrama "Slap" (1980), based on the work of the Armenian writer and poet Vahan Totovents, will be shown in the cinema "Ashgabat". The main roles in the film are played by Frunzik Mkrtchyan and Sofiko Chiaureli.
On the same day, at 17:00, a series of animated films will be presented in the center "Vatan". On October 28 at 17:00, the Vatan Center will host a screening of the feature film Hayrik (1972). At 19:00, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan will be held at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center. The Tatul Altunyan State Song and Dance Ensemble of Armenia will perform during the event.
Before the concert, an exhibition of works by the great Armenian film director, screenwriter, artist and collagist Sergei Parajanov will open. In addition to films, he created many unique visual works: drawings, collages, installations, sculptures.
On the final day, October 29, at 17:00, the Ashgabat Cinema will host screenings of Armenian-made cartoons. At the same time, the Vatan Center will host a screening of the musical comedy film Bagdasar Divorces His Wife (1976).
