Rumours suggest tension is rising between Napoli and Meret over contract renewal.

In today’s edition of *Il Mattino*, it has been reported that a meeting is scheduled for Monday between the agent of the goalkeeper, Pastorello, and Napoli’s sporting director, Manna.

Currently, there is no agreement in place, and it seems that a deal is not even close at this stage.

Alex Meret is looking to secure a salary higher than his current 3.7 million euros per season.

Meret’s position is strengthened by the interest from several clubs, should he become available on a free transfer in the summer of 2025.

On the other hand, De Laurentiis is keen to renew the contract without any pay rise.
