Maifredi suggests Juventus’ biggest mistake was missing a key player in the transfer market.
In a recent interview with *TMW*, former manager Gigi Maifredi shared his insights on Juventus’ transfer market activities. Maifredi specifically addressed the club’s offensive line, highlighting areas he believes require improvement.
“Yes, it’s the biggest mistake they made during the transfer campaign,” Maifredi noted, referring to Juventus’ strategic decisions. “The campaign was good and would have been excellent with an alternative to the Serbian,” he elaborated, underscoring the need for additional options in attack.
He pointed out that with Milik injured, there is a noticeable gap in the squad’s lineup.
In addition, Maifredi emphasized the importance of retaining Kean. “Yes, definitely,” he stated when asked if Kean should be held onto. “He is a Juventus-calibre player, scores goals, and is part of the national team circle,” Maifredi commented, reflecting his confidence in Kean’s potential.
Maifredi further stressed the need to boost Kean’s morale. “One must keep him mentally fit because when a player doesn’t play, you need to maintain their enthusiasm,” he advised, highlighting the psychological aspect of managing players.
