Armenia could participate in  Babylon Festival in 2025 - Iraqi  diplomat

ArmInfo. Ali Abdul Karim Atiwi, Charge d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Armenia, at a meeting with Daniel Danielyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESCS) of Armenia, noted that the deep historical ties between the two countries reveal the potential for cultural cooperation.

As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the MoESCS of Armenia, in this regard, Ali Abdul Karim Atiwi announced that the international Babylon Festival will be held in Baghdad and the city of Babylon in the spring of 2025, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The participation of ethnographic folklore ensembles from Armenia is encouraged in this event.  In turn, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia noted that culture is an important component of the dialogue between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of enhancing cooperation between Armenia and Iraq in this area.

The parties also noted that Armenia and Iraq are members of the Ancient Civilizations Forum. In this regard, Danielyan emphasized the importance of the forum's role as a platform for cultural dialogue and cooperation, with activities aimed at protecting and popularizing the rich cultural heritage of ancient civilizations.  

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of organizing mutual visits of various cultural figures from both countries, implementing joint projects, exchange programs and lectures.
