Teryan Cultural Center`s project "Strengthening the Capacity of  Armenian Refugees of Nagorno-Karabakh" awarded  the European Heritage  Awards 2024

ArmInfo. The annual European Cultural Heritage Summit, organized by Europa Nostra and co-funded by the Creative Europe program of the EU, was held in Bucharest from October 6 to 8. One of the winners of this year's top heritage awards was the Teryan Cultural Center, representing Armenia for the "Empowering Armenian Refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh" project.

As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Romania, the award ceremony was held on October 7 at the Athenaeum Concert Hall in the center of Bucharest. The European Heritage Awards 2024 were presented to organizations and individuals who have successfully implemented 26 of the best projects that have contributed to the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in various European countries. One of the recipients was the Teryan Cultural Center, directed by Lilit Melikyan.  The event, held under the auspices of the President of Romania, was attended by Advisor to the President Sergiu Nistor, Minister of Culture Raluca Turcan, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova, Mayor of Bucharest Nicusor Dan, Ambassador of Armenia to Romania Tigran Galstyan and a number of other award winners along with the ambassadors of the countries.

As part of the European Cultural Heritage Summit program, on October 8, a number of summit participants and guests took a guided tour of the Armenian Quarter of Bucharest, revealing the Armenian heritage of the city.  On October 9, Ambassador Galstyan received representatives of the Teryan Cultural Center at the RA Embassy, congratulating them on the 2024 European Heritage Prize and wishing them new successes in popularizing Armenian culture.
