Armenia to redistribute quotas for preferential import of electric vehicles

YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Thursday the Armenian government made a decision that will redistribute quotas for preferential imports of electric vehicles.br/pp

Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said that every year a quota is allocated for the import of 8,000 electric cars without paying customs duties, but 600 quotas are reserved for dealers./pp

As Papoyan noted, usually during the year the number of imported cars did not even come close to the allocated quota, but this year as of October 1, 7,400 cars have already been imported.nbsp;/pp

Somenbsp;71.4% were imported by individuals and 28.6% by legal entities. With the adopted changes, dealers will not have reserved quotas, and registration will be carried out upon arrival at the customs point, according to the queue. -0-/p
