14 real estate properties and over AMD 5 billion may be confiscated from Serzh Sargsyan`s brother
ArmInfo.The Prosecutor's Office demands the confiscation of 14 real estate properties, shares in 5 companies and over 5 billion drams from Alexander Sargsyan, the brother of the third president of Armenia, as well as his wife and two sons.
As reported by the press service of the supervisory body, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted the prosecutor's office claim for proceedings on September 30. The agency demands 14 real estate properties, 8 movable properties, participation in 5 legal entities and cash totaling AMD 5 billion 092 million from former NA deputy Alexander Sargsyan and persons affiliated with him.
Earlier it was reported that, in particular, the prosecutor's office considers the 3-storey mansion on Tumanyan Street, 3 houses in the center of Yerevan, 10 real estate units in the Kotayk region to be illegal and demands that they be confiscated from Sargsyan and his family members in favor of the state. The prosecutor's office has examined Sargsyan's property acquired since 1995. All property belonging to Alexander Sargsyan has been seized.
