Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja won hearts with his exceptional performances in films like Gangster, Life in a Metro, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and more. Despite his amazing career and the much required fame which he received in the 2000s, Shiney's life changed drastically after an incident. The actor got involved in a legal controversy and his career ended. His career game down crashing in 2009 after he was accused of raping his 19-year-old domestic help. The allegations against Shiney got him sentenced to seven years of imprisonment by a Mumbai court in 2011. His career was damaged due to the case. In October 2009, Shiney was granted bail but the case took an unexpected turn in 2019 when the victim retracted her statement and claimed that she was pressured into making the accusation.
The actor had been married to Anupam Pandey since 1997 and they were blessed with a daughter named Arshiya. After getting bail, Shiney made a comeback to Bollywood with the film Welcome Back in 2015.
