Armenia approves procedure for second stage of tender for supply of biometric passports and ID cards

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved the procedure for holding the second stage of the tender for the supply of biometric passports and identification cards at a meeting today.br/pp

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan reported that three participants passed the first round: two consortiums and one private supplier. She noted that negotiations with the tender participants were held for 5 months./pp

The deputy minister said that applications for participation in the second round can be submitted until January 10, 2025, and from January 11, the evaluation commission will begin reviewing applications./pp

According to her, by the end of March 2025, the winner will be selected, that will begin implementing the infrastructure for providing biometric passports and identification cards. -0-/p
