We are talking about superstar Govinda who is currently in the news because of the accidental revolver firing that landed him in the hospital. It was in 1986 that Govinda started his Bollywood journey. Majorly the actor appeared in slapstick comedies and also proved himself as a romantic hero. His films like Khudgarz, Sindoor, Pyaar Karke Dekho and more brought him fame. Then there came a time when be proved that being 'number 1' is his thing with films like Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Aunty No 1, Anari No 1 and more. His stardom saw no bounds then! There was a time when the actor was showered with films and he signed almost 75 movies in one go. This was when he was only 21 years old. But then there came a change. He suddenly dropped 25 films. Why? He took the advice from actor Dilip Kumar. The Tragedy King of Bollywood adviced him to drop a few films as he constantly fell sick due to working overtime. Govinda was worried about the signing amount that he had already received but Dilip Kumar gave him reassurances. But even after dropping 25 films, there came no drop in his stardom and fame.

Govinda at one point was so successful that he planned of buying autorickshaws and trucks. In 2014, during the chat show, Har Ghar Kucch Kehta Hai, Govinda's brother Kirti made some startling revelations. He stated that at one point Govinda was making so much money that he did not know what to do with it. The actor's first thought was to buy 100 autorickshaws. Not just that, he even planned to buy 100 trucks. But it was his brother who shut down these ideas.
