Turkish medication in Armenia-Azerbaijani normalization of no benefit 

ArmInfo.Turkey cannot be a mediator in the peaceful settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations - by choosing Turkey as a mediator, Armenia in fact sets itself another enemy and says that it will fight against two. 

Analyst, PhD in History, research fellow at the Applied Policy  Research Institute (APRI Armenia) Sergey Melkonyan expressed a  similar opinion in a conversation with journalists. Speaking about  mediation, the expert called for paying attention to the results of  negotiations, including those with Russian mediation, which did not  lead to positive results, those with the EU mediation - after which  Artsakh was lost, directly with Azerbaijan - as a result, the  surrender of part of Tavush. "Consequently, Turkey's mediation will  not change anything. If the goals are set differently, then maybe we  will get different results," Melkonyan said.

In his opinion, the mediator must be able to bear responsibility, but  no one has. "Especially Turkey will not be able to, because it  continues to put pressure on Armenia," the researcher noted. Touching  upon the results of the meeting between Pashinyan and Erdogan in New  York, in the Turkish House, Melkonyan called the latter an attempt to  show that there is a dialogue between the parties. He recalled that  Armenia took part in the inauguration ceremony of the Turkish  president at various levels in 2021, and over all these years, no  results have been achieved as a result of the negotiations. "With  such gestures, the Armenian authorities are trying to show that the  chosen agenda is being successfully implemented, although in fact  this is not the case," the historian emphasized.
