Anupamaa: Kajal is the new lead character of Rupali Ganguly's show? Know more about her

There will be another lead character in the story after the leap in Anupamaa. As per reports in Pinkvilla, we will see a new female character as the lead and her name will be Kajal. She will be a strong, independent, fun-loving, and emotional person.

The source close to the entertainment news portal has informed them that Kajal is written with a lot of dept. She will be free-spirited and spunky but will have a lot of emotions hidden. The makers have planned a tragic backstory for Kajal who has lost her father because of her mother's mistake and thus is quite cold towards her.

She holds her mother responsible for her father's death and thus is leaving away from her. The source further revealed that Kajal wishes to fulfill her father's lost dream.

As per reports, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Shivangi Joshi has been approached to play the lead role in the show. Recently, Sudhanshu Pandey and Madalsa Sharma left the show.
