Armenian PM informs Cypriot President of readiness to sign peace treaty with Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, 24 September. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulidis that 80 per cent of the draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan has been agreed and Armenia is ready to sign the agreement on the basis of the agreed articles and continue further discussions.nbsp;/pp

Pashinyan emphasised the Armenian side's commitment to the peace agenda.nbsp;/pp

The Armenian Prime Minister and the President of Cyprus also discussed the Armenian government's ‘Crossroads of Peace’ project aimed at unblocking regional transport routes.nbsp;/pp

The sides also exchanged views on Armenia-European Union co-operation. Pashinyan emphasised the importance of the EU's consistent support in promoting democratic reforms in Armenia. As for the expansion of Armenia-EU relations, both sides stressed the importance of starting a dialogue on the liberalization of visa regime./pp
