The fine for propaganda of Childfree for legal entities may amount to 5 million rubles

The fine for propaganda of the Childfree movement for legal entities may amount to up to 5 million rubles. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Duma (GD) Vyacheslav Volodin on September 24.

"Fines for violation will be up to 400 thousand rubles for individuals, up to 800 thousand rubles for officials and up to 5 million rubles for legal entities," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

He noted that it is supposed to ban information that popularizes childlessness on the Internet, mass media, advertising and films. This will be done against the background of disrespect for motherhood and fatherhood, as well as aggression towards pregnant women and children, which are spread in social networks.

Volodin emphasized that the consideration of the bill to ban the childfree movement has already begun.

Earlier, on September 23, the Russian government supported the prohibition of propaganda of the ideology of Childfree. The material also notes that before making changes to the administrative code requires clarification of the criteria for the concept of "refusal of childbearing".

The prohibition of the ideology of Childfree began to be considered by the Russian Government back in 2022. Thus, on September 7, deputies of the State Duma introduced a bill that prohibits the initiation of children and adolescents under the age of 18 in the ideology of childlessness. This year, the topic regained popularity, and on June 27, Deputy Justice Minister Vsevolod Vukolov said that the movement wants to ban it altogether on the territory of the country.

At the same time, Duma deputy Yana Lantratova said that this ideology is selfish and destructive, while a strong family should be the basis of a strong country. She also recalled that Russia is a social state and the authorities constantly talk about the importance of demographic development.
