The social satire is penned by Biplab Goswami and produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The movie will be India's entry into the Best Forest Language Film category.
The news has made the cast and crew of Laapataa Ladies quite happy. It has left behind movies like Animal, Kill, Kalki 2898 AD, Chandu Champion, Sam Bahadur, Srikanth, and others behind to achieve this feat. BollywoodLife spoke to actress Rachna Gupta, who plays Poonam, Deepak's (Sparsh Shrivastav) sister-in-law in the film. "I'm incredibly proud of everyone who poured their heart and soul into Laapata Ladies. It is a true celebration of the creativity and dedication that went into bringing this film to life. It fuels my excitement to keep pushing boundaries and exploring new roles," said Rachna.
When asked about her experience of playing Poonam in the movie, who finds her voice eventually in the movie, the actress answered, "Playing the role of Poonam allowed me to experience the incredible effort our team put in to make this story resonate, ensuring that every scene felt real and alive. Further in this entertainment news, we asked Rachna Gupta to share one of her fondest moments of working in the movie with Kiran Rao. The actress said that it was during the time they had to shoot when it was quite cold. "The wind was howling around us, and after each scene, we'd all rush to the bonfire to warm up. I vividly remember Abeer Jain, who played my son, warming his tiny hands in mine. It felt like a protective cocoon, filled with warmth, laughter, and love those moments truly brightened the chilly days," the actress shared.
