Maruti Suzuki WagonR Waltz Limited Edition with Upgraded Features

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched the WagonR Waltz Limited Edition, priced at ₹5,64,671 (ex-showroom). This limited-edition model brings new styling upgrades and advanced features to the WagonR.

WagonR’s Ongoing Success

The WagonR has been a key player in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup since its debut in 1999. With over 32.5 lakh units sold, the car has solidified its place as one of the top choices for Indian consumers. In the last financial year, it became Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling model, commanding a 64% market share in the mid-hatchback segment.

New Styling and Features

The WagonR Waltz Limited Edition introduces a variety of exterior and interior upgrades designed to appeal to modern buyers. Key styling updates include fog lamps, wheel arch cladding, bumper protectors, side skirts, and body side moulding, giving the car a refreshed and distinctive look. The front is highlighted by a chrome grille.

Inside, the Waltz Edition includes designer floor mats and an interior styling kit. In terms of tech, it features a touchscreen music system, speakers, a security system, and a reverse parking camera.

Engine and Transmission Options

The WagonR continues to offer its tried-and-tested K-series engine options, available in 1.0L and 1.2L variants. These engines feature Dual Jet, Dual VVT technology with Idle Start Stop (ISS) to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Buyers can choose between a manual or AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission, depending on their preference. Additionally, the 1.0L variant is available with a CNG fuel option, further expanding its appeal to eco-conscious drivers.

Safety Features

The WagonR Waltz Limited Edition is equipped with features like dual airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-Hold for AGS variants.

Since its launch, the WagonR has set multiple sales records. It achieved 10 lakh sales by 2012 and doubled that figure by 2017. The car reached an impressive 30 lakh sales in 2023, showcasing its sustained demand in the Indian market.
