Armenia to host Musical Expedition festival 

ArmInfo. In the last days of September, Yerevan and Garni will host an exceptional festival , the geography of which covers Russia, Estonia, Greece, Italy, the USA, and now Armenia.

As part of the festival, on September 26, 27 and 28, classical music concerts will be held in natural and historical places of Armenia. Two of them will be held in the open air and will be free for everyone.

In particular, the first day of the festival, September 26, will be held in the picturesque Lovers' Park in Yerevan. The audience will hear masterpieces of Schubert, Bach and Beethoven performed by the best musicians of world renown. Admission will be free.

On September 27, a symphony concert will be held in the Aram Khachaturian Museum. On this day, you can hear Khachaturian's works along with masterpieces of world classics (admission by tickets).

The final day of the festival will take place at the Garni Temple: the surrounding landscapes will be the perfect backdrop for symphonic jazz. The artists will perform a program dedicated to the centenary of Charles Aznavour. Admission is also free.

Cellist and art director of the Musical Expedition Boris Adrianov noted: "Our task is to convey the beauty of music to everyone and everywhere! Mix it with the noise of the forest and the singing of birds. Show the beauty of harmony to people who have never heard the works of great composers live."

According to the press service of the festival organizers, the best musicians from Russia, Austria and Canada will go to the Musical Expedition in Armenia, and the legendary Armenian group Aram Khachaturian Trio has also been invited to participate.

Among the international participants are cellist, laureate of international competitions Boris Adrianov, Canadian violist Sarah McElravy, famous Russian pianist, laureate of international competitions Petr Laul and many others.

For 10 years now, the festival has been taking music beyond the confines of academic halls, revealing world classics to listeners in historical and natural settings. The goal of the festival is to convey the beauty of music to everyone, showing the harmony of music and the surrounding world. The organizers hope that the festival in Armenia will become a new tradition.

The festival is held with the support of the Public Organization for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserves and the Historical Environment (POAK) and the cultural center Common Ground books and spirits.
