Sunil Grover did not congratulate Rajiv Thakur for IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack success? Here's how Kapil Sharma and others reacted
IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack was released on Netflix a few days ago and it received an incredible response from fans and critics alike. Based on a true hijack story, the series is directed by Anubhav Sinha. Comedian-actor Rajiv Thakur plays the terrorist named Chief on the show and his performance has garnered him a lot of appreciation from everyone. A few days ago, Thakur revealed how Kapil Sharma pushed the dates of their tour so that he could shoot for Sinha's show. Now, he has more interesting things to say about Sharma and others.
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack actor revealed that Kapil Sharma and others loved his performance and reached out to him to congratulate him. Thakur also revealed the sweet gesture of his The Great Indian Kapil Show co-star. Rajiv revealed, "I was with Kapil Paaji when I learnt that the series had been released. I informed him, and he wished me luck. He binge-watched the series, loved it, and sent a text to Anubhav Sinha before calling me to appreciate my performance."
Just like Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh was also in awe of Rajiv's performance on the show. Thakur stated that Archana always believed that he didn't receive his due in comedy. Even though Singh was aware he's working on a web series, she was surprised to see him in the show's trailer. "She found me unrecognisable. After watching the full series, she messaged me to express her appreciation and support."
However, Sunil Grover is yet to watch the show and congratulate Rajiv. Thakur further told the entertainment news portal, "Except for Sunil Grover Paaji, everyone expressed their happiness and congratulated me. I believe he might be caught up with other commitments and will catch the show when he can."

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma and his gang are all set to return with The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2. The trailer for the same was released this week. The new season will stream new episodes from September 21, 2024. Talking about Anubhav Sinha's show, it also stars Pankaj Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vijay Varma, and Patralekhaa.
