YEREVAN, September 13. /ARKA/. The Free Armenian Prisoners initiative has sent an open letter to Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, urging action for the release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku, ahead of the upcoming Formula 1 championship in Azerbaijan's capital./pp

In the letter, the initiative highlights gross human rights violations in Azerbaijan. The letter, signed by prominent political figures such as Lord Elton John, Baroness Cox, MP Andrew Rosindell, and leaders of the Armenian community, calls for immediate intervention regarding the detention of six Armenian political prisoners./pp

The letter states, These individuals are held hostage, denied fair trials, and subjected to inhumane treatment. The world is watching, and Formula 1 cannot ignore these blatant human rights abuses taking place under the shadow of their event—profit should not come at the cost of human rights./pp
