Training courses conducted for forcibly displaced Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians

0

ArmInfo. Training courses for internally displaced persons from Artsakh are being organized in the Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions of Armenia. As the head of the program Astghik Avetisyan noted, refugees from Artsakh are deprived of the  opportunity to influence decision- making processes.

"Young people forcibly displaced from Artsakh, having lost their home  and opportunities, found themselves in different communities of  Armenia, but are in no way involved in decision-making processes.  It  is for this reason that we thought about implementing a program that  would allow us to transfer the knowledge and leadership qualities  necessary for active participation in public life," Avetisyan added.

According to the information, the courses are held in two stages. As  reported by Artsakh native Inessa Musaelyan, at the first stage, as a  result of three-day courses, 40 teachers were trained, who today  organize one-day courses on the methodology of non-formal education.

The courses are held within the framework of the United Nations  Development Program (UNDP) , funded by the  Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the  Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia.

On September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan, under the pretext of an  "anti-terrorist operation", committed another act of aggression  against Artsakh. This was preceded by an almost 10-month blockade of  the unrecognized republic. Since the enemy aggression that began in  the fall of 2020, which in September 2023 ended with the complete  ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, over 150 thousand Artsakh residents have  lost their homeland and become refugees.
