Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora's father Anil Mehta passed away at the age of 62. Yesterday, the industry went into a state of shock as reports of him dying by suicide went viral. Anil Mehta reportedly jumped off from the sixth floor of his building and died. The police could not find a suicide note. The investigation is on and police is trying to investigate every angle in the case. Anil Mehta's mortal remains were taken for post mortem last evening. As per the reports, it is being stated that Anil Mehta died of multiple injuries. Today, the last rites are being held. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and many more have reached to be a part of the funeral.

Anil Mehta's death news came in when Malaika Arora was traveling to Pune to attend an event. The actress returned to Mumbai and rushed to her parents' home to be by the side of her grieving mother. As per the latest reports, Malaika's mom Joyce recorded her statement in front of police and revealed what exactly happened. She shared that though she and Anil were divorced, they started living together again since a few years. She revealed that Anil Mehta had the habit of reading the newspaper every morning in the balcony. When she saw his slippers in the living room, she went to the balcony to search for him. When she could not find him, she leaned over to see and saw that the building watchman was shouting for help. She also revealed that Anil Mehta wasn't suffering from any illness.
