Aliyev accepted Tokayev`s proposal to use the Kazakh platform to hold Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty talks
ArmInfo. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accepted the proposal of Kazakhstani leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to use the Kazakh platform for holding Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations on a peace treaty.
As reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during a telephone conversation with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on September 9, Aliyev congratulated Kazakhstan on the successful organization of the 5th World Nomad Games currently taking place in Kazakhstan.
The President of Kazakhstan, in turn, emphasized that Azerbaijani athletes are actively participating in these Games. It should be noted that the Games started on September 8 and will last until September 13. Over 3,000 athletes from 80 countries are participating in the Games. The parties emphasized that the relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are of a strategic partnership nature.
We will add that according to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan, Tokayev confirmed the readiness of the Kazakh side to continue to provide the Almaty platform for negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on concluding a peace treaty.
