YEREVAN, 9 September. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan confirmed that there is a real possibility to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short time.nbsp; nbsp;br

‘Armenia has handed over the 10th version of the draft peace treaty to Azerbaijan and it is no secret that this version by and large includes a fully agreed text. There are clauses that were previously fully agreed and there are fragments of different articles that managed to be harmonised. In fact and technically, the text is fully agreed. And this is our proposal - to sign what has already been agreed,’ Mirzoyan said on Monday at a joint press conference with Luxembourg Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Xavier Bettel.nbsp; nbsp;br

Mirzoyan said Armenia is currently awaiting Azerbaijan's reaction. ‘We believe that there is a real opportunity to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in a short period of time, thus opening a page and an era of sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus region,’ the minister emphasised.br

‘Our approaches are well known: we are ready to immediately start the process of unblocking communications within the framework of the principles laid down in the concept of the Peace Crossroads project,’ Mirzoyan noted.nbsp;nbsp;br

Earlier, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said he was ready to sign a draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan. ‘There are 17 points in the draft Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, of which 13 are fully agreed upon. Another 3 clauses consist of more than one sentence and there is also agreement on most of their content,’ Pashinyan said. -0-br
