YEREVAN, 6 September. /ARKA/. Armenia's domestic trade turnover in January-July 2024 grew by 21.4% in comparison with the same period of 2023 and totalled over AMD 3.3 trillion, the National Statistical Committee reports./pp
In July 2024 alone, the figure was 515.1 million drams, up 16.2 per cent compared to July 2023 and 4.3 per cent compared to June 2024./pp
Of the total turnover, wholesale trade grew by 30% to around AMD 2.2 trillion, while retail trade grew by 10% to over 1 trillion drams./pp
Of the retail trade, shops accounted for 837.8 billion drams (up 12.8%), consumer goods markets accounted for 37 billion drams (up 3.2%), agricultural markets accounted for 8.4 billion drams (down 4.4%), kiosks accounted for 12.6 billion drams (down 0.2%), and other retail outlets accounted for 107 billion drams (down 3.9%).
