Armenia`s MFA does not rule out possibility of private control over  Nakhichevan road

ArmInfo. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan did not rule out the possibility of delegating functions to ensure the security of future transport communications with Azerbaijan to private companies.

Earlier, political scientist Sergei Melkonyan reported that during the last meeting at the level of foreign ministers, Armenia and Azerbaijan discussed the possibility of transferring control over future communications to an international private security company. On August 31, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed Yerevan's readiness to provide a road for Azerbaijan to connect with Nakhichevan while respecting its sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.
