Mahindra Tractors Debuts a New Era of Sustainable Farming
Mahindra Tractors, has introduced its first CBG (Compressed Bio-Gas) powered Yuvo Tech+ tractor in New Delhi, with Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honourable Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, in attendance.
The Mahindra CBG-powered tractor marks a significant advancement in agricultural technology by utilizing compressed bio-gas, a renewable and sustainable fuel source. Unlike CNG, which relies on fossil fuels, CBG is produced from biodegradable materials like agricultural waste, making it an environmentally friendly alternative that reduces pollutants and carbon emissions.
The Yuvo Tech+ CBG tractor maintains the power and performance standards of conventional diesel tractors, ensuring it can handle farming and haulage tasks effectively. This new technology aligns with stringent Indian standards and reflects Mahindra’s commitment to promoting eco-friendly and sustainable solutions in the agricultural sector.
Mahindra continues to innovate within the industry, building on a history of introducing alternate fuel tractor technologies, including CNG, LPG, and dual-fuel systems. The company’s vision is to drive positive change by offering sustainable products that benefit both the farming community and the environment.
