Hyundai Alcazar Facelift Set to Introduce Advanced Technology Features

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is preparing to launch the updated version of its premium SUV, the Hyundai Alcazar, on September 9, 2024. The facelifted Alcazar brings a range of new features, with a promotional campaign fronted by Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan. Hyundai has opened bookings for the updated model, requiring a token amount of Rs 25,000.

New Technology Enhancements

The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar introduces several new technology features aimed at enhancing safety, comfort, and connectivity. Among the key updates is the introduction of a Digital Key with NFC technology, a first for HMIL. This feature allows users to lock, unlock, and drive the SUV using their smartphone or smartwatch. The Digital Key can also be shared with up to three users or linked to seven devices, providing added convenience.

Improved Comfort and Connectivity

Inside, the Alcazar facelift features a 26.03 cm (10.25″) HD infotainment system and a 26.03 cm (10.25″) digital cluster, offering an improved in-cabin experience. The infotainment system includes built-in navigation and a multi-language interface supporting 10 regional and two international languages.

The SUV is also equipped with a new Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control (DATC) system with a touch-type AC control panel. Connectivity is further enhanced with over 70 Bluelink connected car features, compatible with smartwatches and smartphones.

Added Convenience Features

The facelifted Alcazar includes several new convenience features, such as a magnetic pad on the driver’s console and a 2nd row wireless charger. The vehicle also offers 10 ambient sounds of nature, designed to create a more comfortable and relaxing environment within the cabin.

Other updates include rain-sensing wipers, an 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System, and a voice-enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof. These additions aim to improve the overall driving experience.

Powertrain Options

The updated Hyundai Alcazar will be available with two engine options. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque and comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 1.5-litre diesel engine delivers 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.
