Jawa Teases New Roadster Ahead of September 3 Launch

Classic Legends-owned Jawa Motorcycles is set to unveil a brand-new motorcycle on September 3. A recent teaser video has hinted at the design of this upcoming model, confirming it will be a completely fresh roadster.

Although specific details remain scarce, the company’s recent launch of an updated Jawa 42 provides some clues. This refreshed model introduced new colors, pricing, and significant enhancements to the powertrain, chassis, and exhaust system. The 294cc J-Panther engine, featuring improvements in noise, vibration, and harshness, is likely to be carried over to the new roadster.

Expected to retain the “42” nomenclature, the upcoming Jawa 42 will likely feature distinct styling and color options to differentiate itself from its predecessor. The current Jawa 42 lineup offers three configurations: spoked wheels with single-channel ABS, spoked wheels with dual-channel ABS, and alloy wheels with dual-channel ABS. Prices start at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Vega White variant and go up to Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec alloy wheel variant with a fully digital instrument console.

In the competitive mid-size retro motorcycle market, the Jawa 42 faces rivals like the Honda H’ness CB350, Royal Enfield Classic 350, and Benelli Imperiale 400.
