Yerevan to host World Armenian Forum in September

ArmInfo.On August 28, Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Republic of Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha.  According to the press release from the Office of the High Commissioner, during the meeting Sinanyan discussed the historical significance of the Armenian community in India and current issues of cooperation during the meeting.

He presented the main directions and programs of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs to his interlocutor. Additionally, it was mentioned that the World Armenian Summit will take place in Yerevan from September 17 to 20. It is expected that representatives in charge of diasporas from partner countries will also attend the event. In turn, the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia touched upon India's experience in collaborating with the diaspora and fellow citizens living abroad.  At the meeting, the parties also discussed various issues of mutual interest. They emphasized the importance of developing multilateral cooperation between the authorized bodies of both countries on diaspora issues.
