Kangana Ranaut, who has been in the film industry for almost two decades, is well-known for her strong presence both on and off the screen. In 2020, she launched her own production company, Manikarnika Films, stepping into the role of a producer in addition to being an actress. Recently, in an interview, Kangana opened up about her earlier years in the industry, when she was known for making demanding requests on film sets. This revelation comes at a time when there is growing discussion about actors who make high demands, which can increase production costs and create challenges for filmmakers.

Kangana Ranaut recalled how, in the early days of her career, she was very particular about her accommodations while shooting on location. The actress admitted that she used to insist on staying in a specific hotel room, and if her demands were not met, she would refuse to continue shooting. Kangana shared that this behaviour, which she now sees as part of her past, is something she regrets. She believes that her past actions are now coming back to her as a form of karma.

Now that she has taken on the role of a producer, Kangana Ranaut has had a "reality check." She told Mashable India entertainment news portal that the challenges she faces as a producer have made her realise the impact of her earlier behaviour. The Tanu Weds Manu star hinted that she has experienced similar demanding behaviour from actors on her own projects, which has given her a new perspective on the pressures faced by production teams. "That reality check happened with me. That karma came back to haunt me," said the actress.

Kangana Ranaut also mentioned that despite her past, she has always considered herself to be an empathetic person. The Rangoon star dislikes people who are fake and has always tried to be kind-hearted and gentle. However, Ranaut acknowledged that her past behaviour was not in line with this self-image, and she now understands the consequences of her actions more deeply.
