Armenian students win three bronze medals at International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics

YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Armenian students won three bronze medals at the 17th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, held from August 17 to 27 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Armenia’s Ministry of Education reported on Tuesday./pp
The Armenian team was represented by four students from Yerevan’s Shaginian Physics and Mathematics Special School. Arsen Aghayan (12th grade), Gor Asratyan, and Emil Mushegyan (both 11th grade) earned bronze medals, while Narek Galstyan (11th grade) received an honorable mention./pp
The Armenian team was led by Grant Topchyan from the Yerevan Institute of Physics and Karen Bagdasaryan from Yerevan State University./pp
The Olympiad, which featured 232 students from 53 countries, consisted of four stages: theory, observation, data analysis, and a planetarium session./p br br
