Kim Strassel: Harris’ Agenda is a Biden “Retread Times Two”
Kim Strassel, Potomac Watch columnist for the Wall Street Journal editorial page, Fox News Contributor, and author of The Biden Malaise: How America Bounces Back from Joe Biden’s Dismal Repeat of the Jimmy Carter Years, joined The Guy Benson Show to discuss Kamala Harris’ vision for the country, which she described as a “supersized” version of Joe Biden’s agenda. Strassel and Benson also examined how the media continues to support Harris by not pressing her to justify her policy positions, as was evidenced by ABC’s interview with Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR). They speculated on the upcoming debate between Trump and Harris, questioning if it will still take place on ABC and which network will secure Harris’ first interview as a presidential candidate. Strassel had this to say on why Kamala Harris’ agenda is a “supersized” version of Biden’s policies:
“If you look at what she has actually said in terms of paper and proposals, she is simply doubling down on every bad idea that Joe Biden has put forward. The the expansion of the the child tax credit, the expansion of the earned income tax credit, more free housing, more subsidies for first time homeowners, an expansion of Obamacare. She’s building on all of the things he would. So if they were bad to begin with, these policies and have caused the problems we are having so far, the only thing she is offering is a retread, but times two.”
