Neutrinovoltaic technology works by harnessing the thermal (Brownian) motion of graphene atoms and the energy from surrounding radiation fields, including neutrinos, to generate electricity. This is achieved using a multilayer nanomaterial comprising alternating layers of graphene and doped silicon. Graphene plays a crucial role due to its unique two-dimensional structure, which allows for strong atomic vibrations or “graphene waves.” These vibrations, amplified by neutrino interactions, enhance electron flow when in contact with doped silicon, generating an electric current through a process called “oblique scattering.”
