0

Audi has introduced a refined version of the RS 3, elevating its status as a leading compact sports car. The latest model brings notable upgrades in design, technology, and driving dynamics.

Design Enhancements: A More Sporty Look

The updated RS 3 features a bolder design with a broader and flatter hexagonal Singleframe grille, characterized by a prominent rhombus-patterned mesh. This grille, along with new functional side air intakes and a redesigned front splitter, gives the car a more assertive and dynamic appearance. The headlights and daytime running lights have been updated, now featuring a checkered flag digital signature and offering three additional daytime running light designs via the MMI touch display. The rear design includes vertical side reflectors and a large RS-specific diffuser with red accents and oval tailpipe trims, enhancing the vehicle’s motorsport-inspired look. New color options include Kyalami Green, Kemora Gray, Ascari Blue, Progressive Red, and Daytona Gray in a matte finish. Standard features include matt-black 19-inch aluminum wheels, with optional motorsport-style rims available.

Interior Upgrades: Focus on Performance and Luxury

The interior of the RS 3 combines performance-oriented features with luxury elements. It includes a new flat-top and flat-bottom steering wheel, RS bucket seats, and carbon accents. Optional RS bucket seats, featuring microfiber Dinamica and Pearl Nappa leather, offer enhanced support, while the steering wheel, available in perforated leather or Dinamica, is designed for better grip.

The cabin also introduces new lighting features, such as planar lighting that highlights lasered rhombus shapes. The interior finishes include anthracite effect paint on various surfaces, new carbon and Dinamica decor inlays, and optional red and green design packages for added color accents.

Performance: Improved Driving Dynamics

The RS 3 is powered by a 2.5 TFSI engine producing 294 kW (400 PS) and 500 Newton meters of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h. The engine’s distinctive sound, with its 1-2-4-5-3 firing sequence, is further enhanced by the RS exhaust system with variable flap control.

The RS 3 has set a new lap record at the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, highlighting its advanced driving dynamics. Key features include a torque splitter for rear-wheel torque distribution, electronic stability control, adaptive dampers, and new standard high-grip tires. These components contribute to improved cornering and handling.

Sensory Experience and Legacy

The RS 3 also emphasizes a high-quality sensory experience, including attention to the interior aroma. Premium materials such as Fine Nappa leather and advanced polymers are used, and tested to ensure a pleasant smell.

Continuing the RS 3’s tradition of innovation and performance, the new model builds on the success of previous generations. Since its debut in 2011, the RS 3 has been known for its powerful engine and precise driving dynamics. In Germany, The new RS 3 is available for order starting at 66,000 euros (approximately Rs 61.24 lakh) for the Sportback and 68,000 euros (about Rs 63.10 lakh) for the sedan in Germany. RS 3 is not expected to be available in India but Audi has recently begun accepting bookings for the Q8 facelift, which will launch later this week.
