The Great Indian Kapil Show duo Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover attend a spiritual retreat together, address concerns about potential fallout
Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover, known for their remarkable on-screen chemistry, have captured the hearts of fans through their collaborations on popular shows. They worked together on Comedy Nights with Kapil and later on The Kapil Sharma Show. Their comedic partnership became a favourite among audiences, showcasing their undeniable talent and camaraderie. The duo made sure our weekends were filled with immense laughter every week.
However, in October 2017, their friendship faced a major setback that shocked entertainment news fans. While returning from an Australian tour, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover were involved in a heated argument on a flight. Reportedly, Kapil was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and had a physical confrontation with Sunil. Due to this fight, Sunil Grover quit Kapil's The Kapil Sharma Show. The duo never spoke to each other for six years.
However, in 2024, Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover reunited for The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix earlier this year. Their reunion was met with excitement from fans who had waited long enough to see the comedic duo back on screen. The first season ended in June and received mixed reactions from the audience. Recently, Kapil and Sunil made headlines again, this time for their visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar's ashram in Bengaluru.
During their visit, Sunil Grover posed a thought-provoking question to the spiritual leader regarding resolving conflicts between friends. Sunil asked, "Gurudev, I had a question to ask. When two friends, who love each other a lot, have a conflict, how do they make sure to patch up without having a gap of six years or avoid such a situation?" His question, which was a concern regarding his potential fallout with Kapil, made people around him laugh, including Kapil. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar answered Sunil's question with a smile and said that conflicts are an integral part of love. The spiritual guru mentioned that true love and conflict are intertwined, and one cannot experience genuine love without also facing challenges together.
