Yerevan faces shortage of garbage truck drivers amid waste management needs

YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. Yerevan currently needs about 15 more garbage truck drivers to fully meet its waste removal needs, according to Sasha Katvalyan, head of the municipal waste removal and sanitation department./pp

The available equipment is fully operational. However, there is still a need for drivers, Katvalyan stated during a working meeting at Yerevan City Hall on Monday./pp

He explained that all drivers are assigned to specific areas, but when a truck breaks down, it must be quickly replaced. We have reserve vehicles, but we are short on drivers, Katvalyan added./pp br/p
