MG Windsor EV Interior Teased Ahead of Global Debut, Showcases Reclining Rear Seats
MG Motor is gearing up to launch its third electric vehicle in India, the Windsor EV, which is slated for a mid-September debut. Based on the Wuling Cloud EV, already available in Indonesia, the Windsor is poised to make a strong entry into the Indian market.
In a recent teaser, MG partially revealed the interior of the Windsor EV, highlighting its rear seat features for the first time. The teaser confirms that the EV will offer a 3-passenger rear seat setup, with reclining capabilities of up to 135 degrees. Additional comfort features include 3-point seat belts, adjustable headrests, rear air conditioning vents, a center armrest, and premium leather upholstery with quilted stitching.
Given that the Windsor EV is a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV, we anticipate it will come equipped with a robust set of features, including a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, multi-color ambient lighting, automatic climate control, Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, and connected car technology.
MG is also expected to enhance the rear passenger experience with a range of accessories, emphasizing a “second-row first” approach. The Windsor will be the first MG model to feature the MG App Store within its infotainment system, offering in-car gaming, entertainment, and learning options. It will also include the ‘Hello Jio’ voice assistant, supporting multiple Indian languages like English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, and Tamil, along with home-to-car functionality.
While MG has yet to disclose details about the Windsor’s electric motor and battery options, it’s likely to offer the same configurations available in the international market: a 37.9 kWh battery with a 360 km range and a 50.6 kWh battery with a 460 km range
