Jaya Bachchan objects to the tone used by Rajya Sabha Chairman; netizens have a strong reaction

Jaya Bachchan has been in the news of late because of her videos from Rajya Sabha. A few days ago, a video went viral on social in which she objected to being referred to as 'Jaya Amitabh Bachchan'. She stated that 'Jaya Bachchan' would have been enough instead of mentioning Big B and stressed on the matter of women being addressed by their husband's name. The discussion continued in the Rajya Sabha with the chairman Jagdeep Dhankar stating that he is using her full name as it is mentioned in her election certificate. He asked her to apply for the name change and it would be done. She then mentioned that she is proud of her husband's achievements and that this is 'new drama in Parliament'. Today, another video of Jaya Bachchan from the Rajya Sabha has gone viral.

In the video, Jaya Bachchan and Jagdeep Dhankar can be seen having a war of words of sorts. When Chairman Dhankar asked Jaya Bachchan to speak during the session, she objected to his tone. She mentioned that she is an artist and she can understand the body language and expressions very well. She stated that 'But your tone is not right. We are your colleagues, but your tone is unacceptable.' This received an immediate reaction from Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar. He said, "I don't want schooling You may be anybody. You may be a celebrity, but you have to understand the decorum." This video has gone viral on X (formerly known as Twitter) and netizens have a drastic reactions the same.
