ARF on ups and downs in last 34 years
ArmInfo. 34 years ago, on August 8, 1990, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation announced its return to Armenia.
As stated in the statement distributed by the ARF, the national liberation struggle of 1988 became a new milestone for Dashnaktsutyun, which in the Homeland became a participant in the liberation struggle of Artsakh and the restoration of the independence of the Homeland.
"It was a path of selflessness, based on conscious sacrifices, political responsibility of the party and the cherished dream of building an independent state. Building their vision on the idea of the unity of Armenia- Artsakh-Diaspora, Dashnaktsutyun and Dashnaktsakan have always been at the forefront of all Artsakh liberation wars, drawing and securing the border of the Homeland with blood.
Over the past three decades, Dashnaktsutyun has been one of the important political players in the creation of independence for Armenia and Artsakh, at the front, in the internal life of the country and in the Diaspora, recording undeniable achievements along the way, but also, unfortunately, omissions. And yet, our principles and values have been and remain unshakable:
Even today, in the whirlpool of the most serious existential challenges, the faith and goals of Dashnaktsutyun remain the same: to serve with all our might the viability of the Armenian statehood, to make every effort to stop the destructive course of the country, to restore our national dignity and the spirit of the Armenian people who create victories>, - stated in the ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
