Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly in anguish, says 'Persecution of Hindus has left me...' as she expresses concern over what's happening in Bangladesh

The violence in Bangladesh and the political unrest as shocked all. After the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a lot of videos and pictures of how Hindus are being treated by the violent protestors have gone viral on social media. A lot of netizens are expressing concern with the tag 'All Eyes on Bangladeshi Hindu'. Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly who has also ventured into political took to her social media account to express her concern.

In a post made on X (formerly known as Twitter), Rupali Ganguly mentioned that the stories coming from Bangladesh especially about the persecution of the Hindus has left her in a state of anguish. The Anupamaa star mentioned that it scares her to think about the atrocities and violence being subjected on the minorities in the neighbouring country especially because her father's roots are in present day Bangladesh. A part of her note read, "This is time for every human being throughout the world to stand up and raise our voice for protection of the helpless and vulnerable minorities in Bangladesh." She shared the post along with the hashtag that say 'All Eyes on Bangladeshi Hindus'. In a recent report, it was stated that Bangladeshi actor Shanto Khan who had connections with Bengali Film industry and his father Selim Khan were lynched by the violent mob. Reportedly, they have succumbed to the injuries. The visuals are heartbreaking and many have expressed concern like Rupali Ganguly.

Rupali Ganguly is daughter of director and screenwriter Anil Ganguly. He is best known for Kora Kagaz and Tapasya. He passed away in January 2016. Rupali Ganguly often fondly remembers his memories and cherishes the time spent with him.
