Naga Chaitanya, Sobhita Dhulipala engagement: When Chay called his divorce unfortunate and rubbished dating rumours

Actor Naga Chaitanya is making headlines again. The actor, who was earlier married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu is all set to settle down once again with a new lady love. There have been rumours since sometime now of Naga Chaitanya dating Sobhita Dhulipala and the couple didn't make it official so far. However, that is going to change. The latest reports around the two suggest that Chay and Sobhita are all set to make their relationship official with a formal engagement ceremony at Chay's Hyderabad residence. It is also being said that Chay's father, the veteran superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni is very excited about the engagement and has been looking into all the arrangements himself.

While Naga moves ahead in life and is at the brink of starting a new chapter in his life, we are taken back to the time when he was fresh off the divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In his interview back then, he had called whatever happened in his personal life and marriage an 'unfortunate' event. He also said that while it was not an event that anyone should ever have to go through, he said that he also had immense respect for that trying phase of his life.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu announced their separation after four years of marriage. They shared a joint statement on Instagram on October 2, 2021. Right after, both went their separate ways and got busy in their careers. They didn't keep an amicable relationship post divorce, like is the common case amongst celeb couples. Back then, the two were in constant scrutiny and their dating history, love life, past linkups and marriage were all being dissected. There were also numerous speculations on what could have possibly gone wrong in their love marriage which had seemed right out of a fairy tale when it happened.

In his interview, Chay had expressed his disappointment with how the media reportage around his personal life was done. "It is due to the media reportage and how they've portrayed everything by speculating and spreading rumours, the whole respect is lost, diminished in the public eye. This is what hurt me a lot," Chaitanya had said. He had also said that he was upset about the fact that there were rumours around him dating someone and the third person was being dragged into this. This is right around the time when rumours of Chay and Sobhita had started doing the rounds. Well, all we can say is there is never smoke without fire. And we hope that Chay finally finds forever love with Sobhita.
