The first leg of the Champions League playoffs has concluded, marking the penultimate round before the group stage.

The matches of the penultimate playoff round of the Champions League have come to an end.

There were no draws tonight as Slavia Prague triumphed 3-1 at home against Union Saint-Gilloise.

Slovan Bratislava secured a 2-0 victory against their opponents, adding to the excitement of the evening.

Manager of Slavia Prague, Jindřich Trpišovský, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance. “The boys played exceptionally well tonight, showing both skill and determination,” Trpišovský said in a post-match interview with Czech television.

Union Saint-Gilloise’s coach, Felice Mazzù, acknowledged the challenging match. “Slavia Prague was a tough opponent. We need to regroup and prepare better for the second leg,” Mazzù commented to Belgian sports outlet Sporza.

In Slovakia, Slovan Bratislava’s head coach, Vladimír Weiss, praised his team’s defensive solidity. “Keeping a clean sheet was crucial for us. We took our chances when they came,” Weiss told Slovak media.
