When Abhishek fell in love with Aishwarya...
A lot of reports have suggested that they are staying separately and will very soon head for a divorce. Amidst this, an old interview of Abhishek Bachchan is going viral. In 2018, the actor spoke to India Today about his love story. He spoke about initial days of their story and how finally he fell in love with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The couple first crossed paths during a photoshoot of Dhai Akshar Prem Ke in 1999. It was during this time they became friends. He spoke about how they became dear friends while simultaneously working on another project, Kuch Na Kaho. He then shared that slowly their friendship grew and they came closer as they worked on multiple films together.
However, it was during the shoot of Umrao Jaan in 2006 that Abhishek realised that he loves Aishwarya Rai. He realised that their bond is beyond friendship. It was during Umrao Jaan when things took a serious turn and Abhishek proposed Aishwarya and the couple got married.

He further said that they had their daughter in 2011 and added that Aishwarya is dedicated to whatever she does, be it acting, or as a mother. Abhishek Bachchan has always spoken about the importance of their friendship in sustaining their marriage.
