Shilpa had called off the engagement as she was quite young at that time and wanted to achieve new things on a professional level.

Shilpa revealed that she and Romit were engaged a long time ago and she was quite young at that point. She said that she did not want to settle down at that time, eventually, things did not work out between the two and their relationship fell apart.
