Amitabh Bachchan is all set to return as the host for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. It is one of the nation's most cherished, classic, and longest-running game shows. Big B has been hosting the show since 2000 and has seen many contestants take home a good winning amount. The anticipation for the next season is quite high, as viewers can't wait to see Big B on TV screens again. Recently, it was reported that the makers have added a new twist to the game show with a double amount winning question addition.

A day after it was reported that Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 would have a double amount winning twist for its contestants, Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to share about other changes. In his post, the Sholay star wrote that the people who sit on the hot seat come from different backgrounds and have their own struggles. On the show, they will be given a chance to share their story with him and the world about their journey to be a part of KBC.
"For the past few days the contestants and their lives that come before us have been most emotional and moving .. and we sit in the wonder of their narratives .. and try to extend helping hands for their needs and to try and overcome their harsh lives," reads an excerpt from Amitabh Bachchan's blogpost.
The Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 host wrote how victory comes in the form of a success on the hot seat for these contestants. The megastar wrote how these people never seize to amaze him with their generous minds. Meanwhile, the new season of KBC will air on Sony on August 1, 2024.
On the movie front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the science fiction mythological dystopian drama also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. The movie is confirmed for a sequel, and Big B will reprise his role as Ashwatthama in it. The actor will be next seen in TJ Gnanavel's Tamil action drama Vettaiyan. The film also stars Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, and Ritika Singh. It will hit theatres on October 31, 2024.
