In a new interview, the Satya director has slammed Indian filmmakers for their content and for thinking that audiences are dumb. He also gave examples of Hollywood filmmakers like Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan, Clint Eastwood, and others and how their content is interesting.

As reported by the Indian Express, Ram Gopal Varma said that when one talks about Martin Scorsese and Cint Eastwood, their movies have realism and effectiveness. RGV stated that these directors take up interesting subjects and bring top-notch performances out of their actors. Also, their personal attitude is reflected in their movies.

The Aag director stated that such movies are not made in India. Ram Gopal Varma slammed Indian filmmakers for thinking that audiences here are dumb. He highlighted how their cinema has set the benchmark and compared it with the kind of benchmark set here. Varma pointed out how all the big Hollywood stars worked together in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. He compared it by stating that big stars come together to make Thugs of Hindostan in India.

The report further mentioned that Ram Gopal Varma also praised Aamir Khan for cracking the code of making movies that are small and big and understanding what the audience wants. Varma praised Kabir Singh and Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for making movies that have something interesting that's not been made before. The director stated that Vanga's movie became a blockbuster because his story had the necessary conviction.

Meanwhile, Ram Gopal Varma recently made a special appearance in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
